He completed his MBBS from MGM Medical College Aurangabad and his MD in Geriatric Medicine from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. His senior residency was at the Department of Geriatric Medicine, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and he continued there as an Assistant Professor. He has an experience of 10 years in the field of Geriatrics.

His major objective is to establish a strong framework for elderly care through comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and interdisciplinary interventions. His areas of interest include Geriatric Oncology, Geriatric syndromes, Dementia, Urinary Incontinence, Orthogeriatrics , Perioperative care of the elderly and Community Geriatric care . Believes in continuum of care of Older Adults at hospital,home and in the community.
